Who We Are
We have assembled a diverse group of individuals in the community who have volunteered to bring ideas to this organization and who will help implement those ideas. These individuals will take leadership roles as they are willing, and they will be responsible for assisting with the promotion of this organization and for seeking funding sources.
Our mission as a non-profit foundation is to design and to provide access to needed services and resources for the region's Hispanic Community.
Our vision if for every Hispanic in the DMV area to have access to businesses, non-profits and government agencies. Connecting them to community, by helping them resolve problems, answer questions, and guiding them to the right resources.
Strategic Pathways
Our community rollout is planned for early January 2025. By then, we will have an interactive website where visitors can type in English or in Spanish, what they need. The AI functionality of the website will then quickly provide the visitor with one or more resources, drawn from our Partners. By January, we hope to have a full-time employee who will answer with a special telephone number, and who will facilitate a referral.
How will we realize our Mission
1. United – We want everyone to bring more Partners to our organization. We encourage everyone to help us find businesses, non-profits and government agencies to join us. Anyone with a connection or contact should contact us so we can discuss our vision with that contact, and invite them to become a resource, allowing us to list them on our website.
2. Promotion – Everyone involved will feel an immense sense of pride and personal satisfaction in helping reach a constantly broader audience. Anything that any Board Member or Partner can do to help promote this to the community takes us closer to accomplishing our goal – being a complete resource for the entire community.
Paul Samakow is going to promote this organization by diverting some of his television commercials for his law firm on Univision and Telemundo, and through his email newsletter, that currently reaches over 15,000 people every month. Moreover, he will be promoting this at all community events he attends, and he attends many.
All Board Members and Partners will be given materials to use to promote this organization, including photos and videos. All are requested to post on social media, to send out email blasts, to put up flyers or posters (these will be provided upon request), and to make this organization part of a regular conversation.
Accountability and Transparency
All Board Members or Partners who have connections to the media will be asked to assist in connecting us to the media – this means newspapers, magazines, radio and television. Media will "eat this up" and will want to do interviews with us.
3. Funding – Money keeps the lights on! Yes, of course, we need funds and we are open to all ideas – creative ways of raising money to fuel us. Have ideas? Our contact information is below.
There are costs involved initially for the website creation and the ongoing maintenance of that website, for telephone numbers and for the salary of the employee. We all know there will be other costs that we have not yet imagined. The bottom line is that this project will require funding. Any Board Members or Partners who have involved themselves with obtaining grants are requested to contact Paul Samakow (703.472.7688) or Ana Bonilla (571.202.0204).
Note: The Organization's principals are not and will not be compensated in any way for their involvement in this organization. All funds collected will be used to pay for expenses and any Board Member or Partner may request a review of the financial accounting and books at any time.
Media and Marketing
For all our media partners, we seek your platforms to deliver our message. We seek opportunities to collaborate with and support our existing partners and organizations by providing a comprehensive list of your connections – specifically medical, legal, and social services resources. We seek to be a place of guidance and direction for individuals needing assistance, and as well, for organizations that we can help.
We want and need your help in partnering with us to help us get our message out: Knowledge is power.
Engaged and Involved
We are excited to further our project: to provide resources and access to our community. Your involvement is desired and appreciated!
